Worms creator Andy Davidson returns to Team 17
The original creator of Worms, Andy Davidson, has returned to Team 17 after years away from the developer and franchise.
After announcing Worms Revolution just a few days ago, Team 17 has confirmed that the original creator of the rocket launcher wielding critters will be returning to the studio to work on the title.
"I left Team17 feeling I hadn’t finished what I wanted to achieve, but for professional reasons I knew I had to walk away," Davidson said in a statement today.
"I’ve returned to scratch the creative itch that’s been bothering me for the last fourteen years. It’s nice to be back at Team17, it's as though there’s been a revolution in the studio itself - there’s a real creative buzz about the place."
Team 17 confirmed that he would be helping out the Worms Revolution team but also working on new game ideas that have been brewing in his time away from the industry.
"The engine and physics in Worms Revolution are awesome," he commented. "The team have developed a truly landmark game. I’ll be lending them my insight to ensure that the game balance is true to the spirit of the brand."
