3DS officially Australia's fastest-selling console

Over 200,000 3DS consoles have been sold in Australia as of its 37th week, and both the local arm of Nintendo and the NPD Group agree this makes it the fastest-selling console in the nation's history - despite a hair raising launch price. It was not revealed how many of the sales occurred after an August price cut. The 3DS is also performing strongly in Japan, where it had its best-ever week, and in the UK, where holiday stock ran perilously low.
