Japanese charts – PSP and Dragon Quest still winning
Media Create has released the unit sales chart for Japanese hardware and software for the week ending May 8, and it finds PSP and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 still topping each's respective chart.
Can't get enough of Dragon Quest Monsters
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 – Professional for NDS was once again the top software mover of the week, selling 43,886 units.
Patapon 3, which debuted in fourth place last week, moved up the chart to claim second.
There weren't any new titles in the top 20 for the week, but thanks to the holiday in Japan last weekend, Constitution Memorial Day, sales in party titles and Nintendo offerings surged over the prior week. We're assuming, that like in the US on Memorial Weekend, there were some nice sales going on.
