Games consoles cost US $1 billion a year in wasted power
According to a Natural Resources Defense Council report, better power-saving features on games consoles could stop the wastage of $1 beellion of electricity in America every year.
"Through the incorporation of more user-friendly power management features, we could save approximately 11 billion kWh of electricity per year, cut our nation's electricity bill by more than $1 billion per year, and avoid emissions of more than 7 million tons of CO2 each year," says the study.
Apparently, games consoles alone in the US account for the same amount of annual power consumed by San Diego.
Current affairs are just shocking. More through there.
