Sonic UK's favourite videogame character

Sega has popped its head round the door to tell us that Sonic the Hedgehog is the UK's all time favourite videogame character of all time.

"Over 500 UK gamers voted in the poll to mark the launch of London Games Festival, which is expected to attract over 100,000 computer games fans to the capital this week," says the release.

Top Ten is as follows:

1. Sonic the Hedgehog
2. Super Mario
3. Lara Croft
4. Donkey Kong
5. Pac Man (10 per cent)
6. Link
7. Max Payne
8. Pikachu
9. Niko Belic
10. Blanka

Marcu Fenix or some other manly, muscular character should have won in our opinion. Anyway, congrats to Sonic and Sega.
