Amazon worldwide sales - week ending April 18
We'll start with 360 this week. Halo 3 surprisingly man-cannons its way back to the top of the UK Charts this week; the Id@lmaster: Live for You! regains first place after losing out to Turok in Japan; and in America, well, it's our old friend CoD4: Modern Warfare still holding firm up top.
Mario Kart Wii steers its way to pole in Japan to take its place on top of a Nintendo-filled top five. The aforementioned keeps ahead of the competition in the UK whilst the US is still rocking in the free world to Guitar Hero III.
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, rather unsurprisingly, is top of the Amazon sales charts Stateside after it was finally released last week. This feat is mirrored by the UK PS3 charts. Konami's Pro Yakyuu Spirits 5 holds number one in Japan for the second week running.
As far as the handhelds go, it's Brain Training for the stylus win as far as the DS is concerned in Britain and Japan. The PSP charts remain unchanged with the absolutely brilliant Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, the excellent-but-rather-difficult-for-us-to-understand Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G and God of War: Chains of Olympus still riding high in the US, Japan and UK respectively.
The Sims 2: Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff (don't ask) tops the PC gaming chart in the US. Assassins Creed: Directors Cut continues to do well across the Pond whilst Clannad Full Voice (can someone please tell us what this “game” is?) holds the Japanese top spot for we don't know how many weeks it is now.
