1C's announced its first MMO will be Royal Quest, developed by King’s Bounty studio Katauri Interactive, to be released in spring 2012.

The game's set in a fantasy world called Aura, and, as RPS notes, is based on capturing castles and gathering gold. Like, it's an MMO.

Aura, obviously, is in “imminent danger by dark alchemists who will kill to find the highly rare and precious Elenium mineral with its many unique features.”

So, “the King has put out the call in search of courageous heroes to banish the invaders once and forever. As a reward he promises titles, castles and riches."

Thrillzor. First screens and art below.
