14 Days of Fortnite kicks off with Unvaulted Mode, bringing back Season 1 and 2 weapons and items
The 14 Days of Fortnite event is live with the first LTM that sees the return of some vaulted weapons.
Unvaulted Mode is the first of Fortnite's Limited Time Modes that are rolling out during the 14 Days of Fortnite event. Epic has also revealed the first of the event's rewards - the GG Ornament Spray, which you can get for completing the first 14 Days of Fortnite Challenge.
The new mode replaces Classic Mode, as discovered by Redditors. A full list of the available unvaulted weapons hasn't been announced, but Fornite Insider reports that it encompasses weapons and items exclusive to the first two seasons of the game.
"Battle Royale gameplay with a limited set of weapons and items including a few that have been returned from the vault," reads the description, meaning that weapons won't just be limited to those that have been vaulted. Fornite Insider also shares a second description of the mode which adds, "Classic battle Royale gameplay with only the weapons and items that existed during the first two seasons of the game.”
PCGamesN reports spotting the vaulted Tactical SMG and the Impulse Grenade in the mix.
The list of LTMs for 14 Days of Fortnite leaked earlier today along with all but one of the rewards, and the Redditor who datamined the LTM list has since updated the descriptions to reflect the names of some of the modes that they were unable to confirm earlier.
Dataminers have also found files indicating that snow is coming to the entire map.
Meanwhile, Epic Games is gifting "1k Gold and 500 Snowflake tickets" to Save the World players affected by storage wipe issues following patch v7.10.
