   Hello readers.

   I enjoyed responding to your feature requests last year - because hey, this site is for you guys at the end of the day, right?

   So.

   What developers do you really want to hear from this year - be realistic though. I can't pick up the phone and get Valve on the line, for example. Also, what games would you like to know more about this year?

   Let me know what you want to hear about - almost anything goes - and I'll see what I can do.

   Also, any feedback on last year's features and how I can do things different/better would be appreciated too. I may sound like a dick at times when replying on the comments, but I'm the debate type and it's not meant to be brutal or anything. I just like to try and talk ideas to come up with ideas.

   Your input, as ever, is appreciated :)

   I am a long time PSO fan.

   I know that PSO2 is coming out. But I don't know too much more about it. I would like some coverage, but I am sure you guys would do that anyways.

   That bit aside, don't stop commenting in the threads. Good stuff.

   Joking aside.I would like more interviews with developers and a weekly podcast. Not one in which you read the news for us but instead discuss it and have some debates.

   @Freedoms You'll be happy to know that I'm interviewing the Cyberpunk guys at CD Projekt in a fortnight :)

   We did Project Eternity back in Nov or Oct and not much new stuff has happened since, but when it does we will speak to Obsidian again yeah. South Park and Metro now depend on which publisher buys both games after THQs bankruptcy I'm afraid. Time will tell.

   @Cybermarco that might be a tricky one, but I can certainly put a requet in with Square.

   @Older Gamer. Interesting. We haven't covered that one much but it could be possible. Leave it with me.

   Asking the readers: that's what make VG247 the best video game database in the internet, in my humble opinion. As Belmont said (although I'd replace dying with hibernating) we would be pleased to hear more on Sony's stratagem for the Vita, perhaps Soul Sacrifice goes wrong or they don't show much at their PS event in the next month, all assumptions, but in case one or both realize themselves, then a direct word from a Sony member would be interesting.

   In other hand I'd love to see more Atlus related news, even though they are mostly reluctant in sharing news, just for the effect of surprise perhaps.

   Finally, I'd request Bandai, but not as a general: Dark Souls and Demon Souls creator Myazaki, after Bandai said he would be involved in new projects (one being a portable IP, perhaps to a certain hibernating system) and even, if possible, what is their real plans for DaS II and the series itself.

   Just few ideas and sadly I have no interest in hearing from Western companies since, well, I've lost faith in most, but the requests from other members are indeed noble and should be taken in consideration, as always.

   i think sonic needs a feature. he had tough times but i smell a BIG comeback soon.

   skylanders, pokemon, nintendogs, figurines and videogames...i see this being pushed even more. good thing? bad thing? what could be possible...could it even be awesome if done right?

   platinum games - nintendo...what are they cooking?

   a hack'n'slash feature. comparing all the different ip's with a voting option to finally crown the king of the genre.

   a medievil feature! why is sony treating sir dan so badly...just because he's dead must not mean he's dead!

   destiny of course...speculating about it and it's huge potential.

   plus: i'd actually love if you'd call valve. they should tell you their detailed plans for the next 5 years. i would read that;)

   @Eddie thanks mate :) It's an approach that worked well last year and I think our readers appreciated it so I thought I'd give it a crack for 2013. I did a big Dark Souls piece with Miyazaki last year. It's called 'Dark Souls and the art of sadism', run a search and you should find it :)

   Rest assured I am in talks with Bandai now regarding a Dark Souls 2 interview. It will be a while yet though.

   Regarding Soul Sacrifice I've had something in the works for some time, but Japan keeps on stalling. So I think I'll need to push them again.

   @Polygem Sonic could be interesting from a general standpoint. Get Yuji Naka to answer some questions. I've interviewed him before and he;s happy to talk about most things.

   Pokemon will have to happen yeah, given today's announcement and the way the net exploded after I posted our news piece. Leave these all with me.

    cool, i'd really like to hear some sonic related stuff. i am playing a lot of sonic games that i missed out on on the wii and the ds atm-and i love it.
    maybe you could also ask him if there are more plans for nights and at the same time cover og's pso craving too...;)

    This. When Johnny was around he never missed an Atlus beat. But I want you guys to step it up this year.

    1. Find out what they are doing.
    2. Ask about Persona 5
    3. Poke them about Europe.

    Infact, 3 is the biggest one as I don't think I've really seen anything offical about their lack or EU office.

    Thanks Dave, I know you will do what you can. I am such a PSO nut, I think only two games have ever come close to how many hours I have sunk into PSO(WoW and Civ). I own every PSO version there is on every system it has been out for. I have some toons that have over 1000hours played each. No Joke.

    One of my fav all time games. Period. Looking forward to PSO2, it might just make me buy a Vita 'cause I am pretty sure it is headed there.

    @Poly for real. I was just thinking about Auto Modellista the other day. Aside from the resolution..it looks good. Its interesting to me that something cel-shaded can hold up.

    Capcom and insight into what they're plans are for Dragons Dogma? How the expansion is coming along. Where they'd like the franchise to go and ideas on how to expand the universe, pawns system, combat in the future. Cooperative multiplayer, that something they'd try. Idk.

    Polyphony Digital. Gran Turismo 6. Tourist Trophy 2. Their thoughts on the dlc released, how well received it was. Was it profitable. Was Tourists Trophy not well enough received to merit a sequel. Could PD release one motorcycle as dlc for GT to track the interest in it.

    Namco. Whats the state of Ace Combat? Was the "redesign" of the latest title well received? Any chance 6 or any of the PS2 titles get re-released or updated on PS3 or PSN.

    Any interviews from creative types at Rockstar are great reads.

    I agree with the posts about Vita info regarding games. When it was first announced, I remember seeing a massive list of companies interested but the popularity seems to have faded. I just got one for Christmas, and there's plenty to sink my teeth into right now, but the future looks a little bleak.

    I'm not sure how you could go about it, but I know there are a lot of people out there questioning their purchase of a Vita who could use the reassurance of a healthy list of games releasing this year :)

    Also - Grand theft auto on Vita? If you're ever in the talks with Rockstar, bringing this up would be appreciated although I'm not sure they'd be willing to spill the beans.

    Though I'm sure it'd be pretty hard to secure, an interview with Polyphony would be great. Something with Kaz Yamauchi on par with your interview with the head of Level-5 last year would be pure gold.

    The Holy Grail would obviously be getting to have a 30-min chat with Fumito Ueda about The Last Guardian.

    Have to add that I'm pleased to see the great effort going into features, even when you guys are clearly inundated with all the news posts. Here's to another great year.

    P.S. I'm still hopeful for the inevitable next-gen console blurry photos blowout from Pat. He's been mighty quiet these last few months, so I can only assume he's been on secret missions to R&D centres in Redmond and Tokyo with his trusty 2MP camera. :P

    @SlayerGT & mathare92 That GT6/Kaz angle is superb. I'm sure Sony could hook us up with a chat. Leave this one with me.

    Ueda would be tricky, I can't see that happening now he's left.

    Regarding Rockstar, they hold all the strings so tightly that the only way I'd get an interview is if they wanted to talk to me in the first instance. They're so locked down it's nigh-on impossible to speak with them sadly.

    As mentioned up there. With Vita we had next to everything long before its reveal and we even got a shot of the dev kit(albeit an older sliding one ! ) however that was pure gold. I wonder why Pat is yet to send his 00 guys to tokyo :)
    And thanks a lot for GT and polyphony request. I'm excited.

    Hey Dave, thanks for putting our feedback into consideration, my list may seem a bit strange but what the hell :D

    Double Helix Games: they used to do games like Silent Hill Homecoming, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Matrix: Path of Neo, good games btw, but now they are kinda working on smaller games like Battleship, can you ask what is the future for them ?!, what games are they focusing on ?!, and when can we expect to hear from them.

    MercurySteam Entertainment: I want to hear how the development of CLOS.2 is different from CLOS.1 ((without spoiler of course :P)), what the future for them is, if there is a franchise they want to tackle like Castlevania, if they still want to work on Contra and reboot it or not, where is the sequel to Clive Barker's Jericho.

    Visceral Games: ask about Dante's Inferno Sequel, is it in the work or not, what the future to Dead Space holds, will Co-Op be something always in DS or what.

    Aslo if you get the chance to talk to Capcom or Sony, please ask about Dino Crysis IP, if there Capcom will bring it back or even reboot it or not, also ask about Syphon Filter, I am sure Sony won't comment about the rumours of Syphon Filter 4, but maybe they will tease us with something.

    I’d love a regular XBLIG section.

    There are so many great indie games out on XBLIG that could use extra coverage, like the recent Odyssey 3011. It’s a superb Elite clone. Gamers have been crying out for an Elite clone or sequel, and here it is, slick and fully functional, for less than the cost of a pint.

    If that isn’t news-worthy I don’t know what is.
