Xbox All Access is confirmed, and its store page is live
Microsoft's Xbox All Access financing service is real, and is even available on the US digital storefront.
Last week, reports emerged of an Microsoft contract service that would let customers finance the cost of an Xbox One for a monthly fee. Now information has started appearing on official Microsoft websites, including the US digital storefront.
While a blog post cited by Venturebeat is not yet live, ordering options have appeared for US customers. Players can get an Xbox One S or Xbox One X bundle online or from a physical Microsoft store, pay $22 or $35 per month for each set, and setup a Dell Preferred Account financing plan.
Each bundle includes a console, a 24-month Xbox Game Pass, and 24 months of Xbox Live Gold. According to the fine print, no interest is charged if all payments are made within two years. As Venturebeat notes, this bundle is actually cheaper than buying an Xbox One console and the related services separately - especially for the S model.
"For no upfront cost and one low monthly price for 24 months, Xbox All Access gets you a new Xbox One S or Xbox One X, access to more than 100 great games through Xbox Game Pass, and online multiplayer with Xbox Live Gold," Xbox Product Marketing head Bogdan Bilan said in a statement. "That’s more than 100 all-you-can-play games — including highly-anticipated new Xbox One exclusives the day they’re released, plus more games added all the time on the fastest, most reliable gaming network and an Xbox One console."
Online purchase options don't seem to be available in non-US regions yet, but it's a safe bet they'll go live shortly. Microsoft's storefront also notes the program is available for a limited time, likely to test the feasibility of similar contract plans in the future.
