Assassin's Creed Origins leaks at retail yet again, definitely looks pretty Egyptian - rumour
Assassin's Creed Origins has leaked so frequently that at this stage we're finding it hard not to buy in whole-heartedly to rumours.
New Assassins Creed to be called Origins. Looks to confirm the Egypt setting.
An Assassin's Creed Origin retail pre-order card has turned up online, apparently leaked by a Target employee.
Check it out in the Imgur embed above. It could be fake, of course - it's got the old Ubisoft logo on it, for one thing - but if so, it's a very impressive bit of work. Also, we don't really see why anyone would make a fake Assassin's Creed Origins leak at this stage, given we're all pretty confident it is a real thing.
The pre-order card is a reservation for the Gold Edition of Assassin's Creed Origins, which includes a "deluxe pack", season pass and steelbook. The card also mentions a pre-order bonus mission called Secrets of the First Pyramids. It all sounds very believably Ubisoft.
The artwork on the card matches what little we think we've seen of Assassin's Creed Origins so far, too - the t-shirt, the off-screen image, the other, older off-screen image. Although if it were a fake, those are the references the shammers would be drawing on, I suppose.
Ubisoft will reveal the next Assassin's Creed at E3 2017. We expect to see it on either or both of Microsoft and Sony's stages as well as Ubisoft's, if history is any indication. Make sure you don't miss a thing; check in with our E3 2017 livestream schedule.
Assassin's Creed took a few years off after Ubisoft realised the franchise's reputation was in tatters. It'll be good to see the old girl back.
