You can lend a hand in Pokemon Sun & Moon's 7th Global Mission by going fishing

Pokemon Sun & Moon players should take a break from training to be the very best and take a nice fishing vacation.

Pokemon Sun & Moon players are now able to participate in the seventh Global Mission, which is all about fishing.

To participate in the Global Mission, fire up Pokemon Sun & Moon and drop a line into any of the bubbling fishing spots.

For the Global Mission to be considered a success, Pokemon Sun & Moon players are going to have to fish up at least 500,000 Pokemon and items collectively by 23:59 UTC June 13.

If they are victorious, all participating Pokemon Sun & Moon players will receive 2,000 FC. They'll only get 200 if the Global Mission fails. Those amounts will be doubled for players with a Global Link account, by the way, so let's hope you weren't caught in the recent wave of 3DS bans (don't use save editors, cats).

As part of the Global Mission, all Pokemon Sun & Moon players who contribute three or more Pokemon or Items will also score a Rare Candy. If the collective total of Pokemon and items fished passes 1,000,000, all players with a Global Link account will get a Lure Ball, too.

Fishing's on Pokemon fans' minds at the moment due to the recent release of Magikarp Jump. This one seems a lot more timely than the bean harvesting Pokemon Sun & Moon Global Mission, but perhaps we just missed something cultural there.

A couple of past Pokemon Sun & Moon Global Missions have ended in failure, although we've had better luck lately.

Hop to it and do your part. Get fishing.
