Modern Warfare Remastered kicks off St. Paddy's Day celebrations with Shamrock & Awe event and free stuff
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered's St. Patrick's Day seasonal event brings lots of loot, and a new character with it.
Activision has announced the first seasonal event of the year for Call of Duty, and the theme is, of course, St. Patrick's Day.
Operation: Shamrock & Awe is a three week event bringing free supply drops, a new, free map, two free camos, and a new character with it.
The emerald green supply drops are capped at one per week when you log in, and they don't stack, so be sure to download them by 11:59pm PDT every week between now and the end of the event.
The new map is essentially Downpour with a little added sunshine and a dash of Irish charm. Also there's a rainbow.
Completing the in-game challenged over the duration of the next three weeks will let you earn two exclusive St. Patrick's Day-themed weapon camos, described as "the Shamrockin’ 'Folium' and the rainbowtized 'Prism.'"
The challenges vary across weapon classes and won't be available after the event.
There are three new St. Paddy's themed collections, including reticules, camos, calling cards, and emblems. Completing the Luck collection will unlock a new character, the Leprechaun will get you a Shillelagh melee weapon, and Pot o'Gold rewards you with a unique calling card.
What's more, if you amass all three collections, you'll unlock Darren 'Graves' Cosgrave as a playable character. He's only available for the duration of the event so get collecting.
Operation: Shamrock & Awe is live right now and wraps up on April 3 at 12.01am PDT.
