Reminder: you can get this super cool Genji skin in Overwatch by playing Heroes of the Storm this week

After some server maintenance tomorrow, Heroes of the Storm's Nexus Challenge will go live.

Blizzard made a bunch of announcements at BlizzCon 2016 recently, but one of the most interesting ones is a cross-game promotion between Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch.

The developer revealed that the Nexus Challenge event will be going live this week and it'll allow you to get a very unique Genji skin in Overwatch, as well as Heroes of the Storm heroes just by playing the latter. We now know exactly when this event will kick off.

Tomorrow, November 15, Heroes of the Storm servers will be taken offline for maintenance at 6am PT / 9am PT / 2pm GMT and through 10am PT/ 1pm ET / 6pm GMT. Once that's done, a new patch will be released, and with it, the Nexus Challenge.

You can participate in this event even if you play Overwatch on consoles, provided you have your Battle.net account linked across PC and your console's network. You'll still need a PC to play Heroes of the Storm, though.

In case you missed it, the event will run until January 4, and lets you earn in-game items for both Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm.

If you play 15 games in Heroes of the Storm with one friend or more, you'll get the Oni Genji skin (above), Oni Genji portrait, and the Oni Genji spray in Overwatch. You'll also receive Zarya and the Oni Genji portrait in Heroes.

Playing 30 games or more with a friend during the event gets you all the above, plus more Heroes of the Storm heroes. They're are Auriel, Greymane, Kerrigan, and Li-Ming. You'll also receive the Orochi Hovercycle mount and a 30-day Stimpack.

Playing games in quick match, ranked, unranked draft, or co-op against AI will all count towards the target. Brawl, training, tutorial, try mode, and custom games will not count, however.
