You can play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer on PS4 and Xbox One right now
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer servers are online now.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered officially releases alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare later this week, but Activision and Infinity Ward seem to have activated the servers early, meaning you can play right now.
Although there's been no comment or announcement from Activision or Infinity Ward and we haven't fired it up ourselves, plenty of people claim to be playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered already. Streams and videos are being hammered with takedowns, but browse the #MWRemastered hashtag on Twitter to see plenty of discussion, screens and more.
At present access is limited to those who have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition on PS4, allowing them to pre-install Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and anybody who happens to have an early retail copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition on Xbox One.
If you don't fall into either of these categories you'll probably have to wait for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Friday launch.
PC users seem to be fresh out of luck, unfortunately, as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Steam pre-loads haven't yet gone live.
