Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered campaign now live on PS4, Infinite Warfare disc required after Nov. 4
The single-player campaign for Modern Warfare Remastered is now available to download and play on PlayStation 4.
If you pre-ordered a copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Legacy Edition, you're eligible for early access to the Modern Warfare Remastered campaign. The game is available now to download and play.
If your order was made though the PlayStation Store, you should already see the game under Library. If you purchased it from a retailer, you'll need to pay for the order in full, after whcih you should receive a code that gives you access once redeemed.
Activision also confirmed a couple of other details about this whole process, seeing as it's a first for the series. The early access you get from buying the Legacy Edition remains active until November 3, one day before the launch of both the remaster and Infinite Warfare.
What this essentially means is that after this date, you'll need to use your disc to continue playing, and of course, to access the multiplayer portion. If your purchase was done through the store, this won't affect you, as you'll just need to grab the remaining files.
Going forward, the number of early access days will depend on when you buy the Legacy Edition. For example, if you buy it on November 1, you'll only get a couple of days of early access.
Modern Warfare Remastered and Infinite Warfare release November 4 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
