Overwatch reviews - the scores so far
Overwatch servers went live yesterday all over the world. Critics and fans alike have already spent a few hours with Blizzard's first shooter, and have so far showered it in glowing praise.
Overwatch, in case you've somehow managed to avoid everything about it, is shooter in the same vein of Team Fortress 2 where two teams of distinct characters fight over objectives. Characters are referred to as 'heroes' similar to what you have in MOBAs, and that's where the similarities end.
Unlike Battleborn, Overwatch doesn't feature lanes, traditional MOBA maps or modes, or even mainstay features like creeps. The game has a roster of 21 playable heroes, spread across offence, defence, tank, and support.
More heroes and maps will be released post-launch, and all of them will be free. Although the game is very user-friendly and inviting, it's a lot different from mainstream shooters. It wouldn't hurt to give our guide a look, to stay on top of things.
