Players are reporting missing characters when logging into The Division after installing the 1.2 update.

In the technical support sub-forum for PC, some players have noted their main character missing from the game. Some report multiple characters missing. Other users on reddit are reporting the same issue.

We've looked through the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 forums, and have yet to come across posts on the same issue.

Ubisoft Massive asked those affected to post their Uplay usernames, and around 11:30am CET said the issue was being looked into.

Around an hour ago, a notice said the issue with the accounts in question had been identified and was working on resolving the issue.

At this point we're unsure how widespread the issue is, but it's worth informing you just in case. There is a running bug thread on The Division subreddit which you may want to have a look through if you are having issues.

There was an issue with missing characters in April after users applied update 1.1. That particular issue was limited to the Xbox One version of the game.

A malfunctioning server was blamed for missing characters.
