Insert boldly going to consoles joke here.
Star Trek Online heading to PS4 and Xbox One with six years of content
Not only is Star Trek Online heading to current-gen consoles with six years worth of content packed in, it will also look rather spiffy thanks to updates made to the game engine.
Cryptic Studios, learning from the recent launch success of Neverwinter on Xbox One, has created a control scheme that allows players to "navigate both ship vs ship and ground combat with ease."
At launch, Star Trek Online will contain over 11 season's worth of content packed with 130 featured episodes. As with the PC version of the MMO, player’s start off by choosing the Federation, Klingon or Romulan factions. There are 32 species to choose from when customizing their Captain with millions of character customization options available.
There are plenty of places to visit such as Vulcan, Deep Space Nine, Earth Space Dock and more in one of hundreds of classic Star Trek ships and play through the game’s story content and reach the level 60 cap, all for free.
Star Trek Online will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this fall.
