Windows 10 now supports unlocked frame rates, ability to disable V-Sync
Along with unlocked frame rates, those playing Universal Windows Platform (UWP) titles using DirectX 12 will be able to disable V-Sync, and support has been added for Nvidia G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync.
These additions should help eliminate "screen tearing, reducing lag and stutter, and improve visual fidelity."
PC players using W10 can expect developers to start testing these features today and release patches which will integrate with today’s UWP additions.
Microsoft said it expects Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Forza Motorsport 6: Apex to support the new updates "in the near future."
The Window 10 update will be gradually rolled out to all machines, but it can also be downloaded through here.
