The next Tales game will be released in the west next year, Bandai Namco has announced.

Tales of Berseria will head to Europe and North America in early 2017, and contains the two playable characters Eizen and Eleanor.

It also features the new skit system with a “Cut-in” effect, and the new Switch Blast battle system.

During the daily casual conversation of the player's characters, the new cut-in effect added to the skit system introduced an effect where character illustrations are inserted depending on the conversation. This can include facial expression or a conversation among multiple characters.

The new Switch Blast battle system allows players to switch characters during battles and choose a back-up character to replace another during the fight. The back-up character has one more soul than usual when joining in, so if the loses some Soul, this can be overcome using the Switch Blast.

Tales of Berseria will be released on Steam for PC and PlayStation 4.
