Payday 2 owners on Steam get SteamOS version free, game is free to play this week
You read the headline right: Payday 2 is out on SteamOS and if you own the game through Steam, you get this version free. Also, a Hardcore Henry pack is on the way.
It is also free for those who own or purchase the Alienware Steam Machine. The game also supports the Steam Controller and SteamCloud.
If you don't already own the cooperative shooter, the game will run you will run you $19.99/€19.99; however, it's on sale this weekend for 75% off so you'll only pay $4.99. Plus, it's free to play this week.
As with the original game, this version of Payday 2 will be updated simultaneously with the existing Windows version.
The Hardcore Henry pack releases this weekend and introduces Jimmy, portrayed Sharlto Copley (District 9, Hardcore Henry).
Next week on March 31, new Heists which take place in Russia will be released. More information the free update will be shared next week closer to launch.
Payday 2 can be purchased through the Steam link above. It is also available for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
