Battleborn's post-launch plans include five free heroes and paid content packs
Gearbox Software has announced what Battleborn players can look forward to post-launch. This includes both free content updates and paid add-on packs.
Five playable heroes will be released after launch, for free, bringing the rosters to 30. The first free hero to be released will be Alani.
Her attacks and abilities revolve around the power to control water but she can also heal members on her team. More information on Alani, such as her release date, will be made available closer to the launch of Battleborn.
PlayStation 4 players who participate in the upcoming Open Beta will instantly-unlock Alani once she’s available after launch.
Additional competitive multiplayer modes, maps, balance updates, and community features will also be released in free updates.
Five new add-on packs will release after launch and each will run you $4.99. Paid content will include PvE Story Operation, exclusive skins and taunts. All five packs can be purchased as part of a Season Pass for $19.99.
A Digital Deluxe Edition of Battleborn will be available for $74.99 and includes the game plus the Season Pass and additional cosmetic customizations.
Battleborn launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 3.
