Rumor has it a new Paper Mario is in development for Wii U

There's a rumor making the rounds that Fire Emblem studio Intelligent Systems is working on a Wii U entry for its popular Paper Mario series.

Nintendo fans were all ears yesterday when Emily Rogers said she'd share a rumor next week on an unannounced Wii U game through NeoGAF. After some prodding by many of her over 13,000 followers, she relented and revealed the game was a new Paper Mario.

According to information Rogers obtained from five different sources speaking with her, Liam Robertson and Imran Khan, the Paper Mario title is currently undergoing localization and testing.

Nintendo Life notes both Rogers and Robertson have been "on the money in the past." One example was Robertson being told a free-to-play amiibo game was in the works. The title, ​Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge, was announced one month later for Japan.

Even so, it's best to file all of this as a rumor until an official announcement is made by Nintendo. If the game is currently undergoing localization as they say, it shouldn't be too long before we hear something concrete.
