Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes novel now available
The promised Five Nights at Freddy's novel has arrived.
Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes released unexpectedly today.
Although a teaser suggests a December 22 release date, in typical Scott Cawthon style the novel has popped up early. You can grab it for $3/£2 on Amazon.
The 464-page novel was co-authored by Cawthon and Kira Breed-Wrisley; the latter writer seems to be a newly-launched pen name as it doesn't even a personal Internet history beyond this week, bar one 2011 local theatre acting credit.
The naturally suspicious FNaF Fanbase is already searching to discover whether this is meaningful, or just a matter of a writer choosing not to use their real or established pen name. Over on Reddit, there's speculation the book may have strong ties to the film script, and that certain continuity and other errors may point to something more significant.
Anyway, the book itself tells the story of a woman named Charlie, heir to a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant, who returns to her hometown a decade after a grisly incident.
Will it mean more for the franchise moving forward? Who knows! This is Five Nights at Freddy's we're talking about.
