Noby Noby Boy completed - read the time capsule letter here
Noby Noby Boy players have finally completed a round trip of the solar system.
After six years and ten months, Noby Noby Boy is finished. The sandbox playground is still playable, but Noby Noby Girl has finished her journey.
It's only been three weeks since Noby Noby Girl reached Pluto, but a multiplier event helped push her through the final few goals in rapid succession.
Upon completion of Noby Noby Girl's journey players were presented with a letter dating back to the game's February 2009 launch. The full letter was captured and uploaded to Imgur, so you can read through below.
For those who aren't in the know: Noby Noby Boy is a free downloadable PlayStation 3 (and temporarily iOS) game in which players can faff about in various settings. Designed by Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, it invites players to stretch the titular character's elongated body, unleashing havoc on the innocent virtual denizens of the various worlds. It's very silly, and good fun - and every time Noby Noby Boy is stretched, the length is added to a cumulative total that powers Noby Noby Girl's journey through the solar system.
It's wonderful to see the project reach its conclusion, even if it took multiple multiplier events to get there.
