Comparing Fallout 4's post apocalyptic Commonwealth to the real-world Boston highlights the attention to detail Bethesda's developers have poured into the game.

Game director Todd Howard has previously said that the team of 100 took four years sweating over the details and applied a lot of environmental storytelling to the world.

You can see that storytelling through the skeletons that litter the game, but also the real architecture of Boston and the way it's been subsumed into a world full of civil war, populated and appropriated by super mutants, ghouls and raiders.
