A System Shock remake is in development

The developer responsible for the Enhanced Edition of the original System Shock is working on a remake of the 1994 game.
Speaking in an interview with Fast Company, Night Dive Studios CEO and founder Stephen Kick said he is currenty working with the original concept artist, Robert Waters, to re-imagine the game for the modern audience.
Night Dive is hoping to release it as a multi-platform title.
The Washington-based company bought the rights to the System Shock franchise and development of a third game in the series is under consideration, but it's not a priority at the moment.
Night Dive also released System Shock 2 through GOG back in 2013.
