Super Mario Maker has sold over 1M units and 2.2M levels have been created
Super Mario Maker isn't only a hit with critics, but Wii U owners as well - which you probably noted by the headline.
Since its release on September 11, Super Mario Maker has sold over 1 million units and players have created over 2.2 million courses for the game.
Nintendo crunched some numbers, and found said levels have been played close to 75 million times world wide.
“For Mario fans around the world, including myself, Super Mario Maker was a dream 30 years in the making,” said NoA President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “The game has captured and unlocked the imaginations of gaming fans of all ages and brought their dedication to Nintendo to a whole new level.”
The company also noted that its Super Mario franchise has sold over 310 million units since its inception.
