Darks Souls 3 aiming for six-person multiplayer

Dying might just get a little less lonely when you can do it in the company of five comrades.

VaatiVidya is a Souls savant, and after playing the Dark Souls 3 demo at Gamescom, he talks us through what we have to look forward to while we get to drool over the gameplay footage.

"It feels like the mechanics and the pacing of Dark Souls One, but with the polish and the fluidity of Bloodborne," he says, at the start of the video, and watching the footage that appears to be the case.

There's a mana bar this time around, that's consumed by magic attacks and weapon arts - which look wonderfully visceral I might add - but it won't replenish without you taking a swig of the appropriate flask.

The six spells we know about so far and the changes to the covenant system are touched on, and in the worse news ever, invasions and summonings won't be linked to consumable items, so now any bugger can drop into my game for a spot of cold-blooded murder with even more ease than before.

Am I the only one that hates the PvP element in the Souls series? I can't be the only person with an irrational fear of invasions.

Anyway, the video is well worth watching, both for the info and the peek at the gameplay.
