Shenmue 3 launches "Slacker Backer" campaign for those who still want to donate

Shenmue 3 may be the most funded Kickstarter game ever, but that doesn't mean the developers aren't accepting more funds for development.

Ys Net has opened another round of crowdfunding on the Shenmue website, allowing those who didn't support it through Kickstarter to use PayPal.

"So many people told us they could not pledge on Kickstarter, or could not make the deadline, and have asked for a PayPal page for another opportunity to contribute to Shenmue 3. So here we go," reads the notice on the official website.

"The Slacker Backer period will continue through December 31, and just like the Kickstarter campaign, the funds raised will be used to reach the Stretch Goals to make the game even bigger and deeper."

The PayPal page will feature a selection of rewards from the Kickstarter campaign including the Trial Version and the Collector's Edition.

Back in July, the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter ended with over $6.3 million in funding thanks to 69,320 backers.

Shenmue 3 will be available to purchase digitally for PC and PS4 at some point in 2017, but at present its unconfirmed whether a physical version will be released outside of the $60 crowdfunding tier.

Thanks, Blue.
