Ace Attorney 6 is in development, and is coming to the west
Great news for Phoenix Wright fans - a new Ace Attorney game has been announced for the 3DS, and immediately confirmed for an English language release.
The news was reported by Famitsu (in Japanese), before being picked up by Gematsu, and has since been confirmed by the official Ace Attorney Twitter account.
The new game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show from September 17 to 20, and reportedly has a new gameplay system that speeds everything up a bit (which is good news, because for all its numerous charms the last Ace Attorney game was a little slow-moving).
Sadly, there has been no update on whether Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken - the Ace Attorney prequel that sees one of Wright's ancestors teaming up with Sherlock Holmes to solve crimes, released in Japan in July - is coming west. Fingers remain crossed, as Kotaku's Richard Eisenbeis' recent review concluded that the game is "fantastic".
