King's Quest reboot may be coming to Wii U, too
The new King's Quest series could make its way to Wii U.
King's Quest: A Knight to Remember launched earlier today on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC. When asked by Destructoid whether the Wii U was in consideration, The Odd Gentleman president Matt Korba responded, "If the game does well it can definitely end up there as well as some other platforms. But we are still a relatively small team and five platforms at launch almost killed us."
The interview carries few other revelations, but it's worth a read anyway: Destructoid has been very enthusiastic about the game, awarding it a score of 9.5 out of 10 in its review, and that enthusiasm carries over into the interview.
King's Quest's publisher, Activision Blizzard, is slated to release Guitar Hero Live and Skylanders Superchargers on the Wii U later this year. The console, while lacking in triple-A support, has been building up a solid backlog of downloadable titles over the past year. King's Quest could be a good fit for the system.
