Battlefield 4's CTE comes to Xbox One next week
DICE is aiming to launch the first console Community Test Environment on Xbox One next week.
DICE first revealed plans to bring Battlefield 4's Community Test Environment (CTE) to consoles towards the end of last year. Everything has been quite ever since, until a recent Reddit post confirmed that very soon, Xbox One players will be able to participate.
On July 6, Battlefield 4 Premium members on Xbox One, who are also part of the Preview Program, will be able to download a separate Battlefield 4 client, dedicated to CTE.
This release comes with the Community Map, currently being tested on PC. Three night maps will also be available for testing.
"The type of updates on the CTE on Xbox One will be bigger and less frequent than on PC. However, you can still expect regular updates, tests, and prototypes," DICE said.
CTE gives players access to preview builds of the game that get updated regularly with the latest tweaks and gameplay changes. The aim is to refine changes, test new maps, and involve the community in the process before content is released for everyone else.
