Planetside 2 European servers remain offline hours after PS4 launch
The European servers for Planetside 2 on PlayStation 4 have gone offline for maintenance and never came back online.
Planetside 2 launched worldwide on PlayStation 4 yesterday. The game utilises servers in the US and Europe.
A few hours after the game went live, the developer took both servers offline due to "a PSN Store purchasing issue." Hours afterwards, US servers were up and running.
EU servers are at the time of writing still unavailable. In the past 12 hours, the game's official Twitter tweeted twice saying that EU servers are still under maintenance and asking everyone to be patient.
The issue appears to be still going, as Andy Sites, directer of development at developer Daybreak just tweeted this:
