Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter ends with over $5.5 million in pledges

The Bloodstained project was a Kickstarter success long before it neared the end of its funding period, but thanks to a push near the end, it accumulated $5,545,991 in pledges through 64,867 backers.

PayPal donations were also accepted, and according to Destuctoid, funding through the service provided an additional $213,000 for the project.

The last two stretch goals in the $5 million range were the additional of a rogue-like dungeon and a boss revenge mode.

Earlier this week, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night became the most funded game in Kickstarter history. It is slated for release in 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4, Vita, Wii U and Xbox One.
