Bungie files trademarks for 'Eververse'
Bungie has filed three trademarks for something called 'Eververse'. One of which could point towards a very interesting concept for Destiny.
Destiny developer Bungie has filed for three trademarks towards the end of May that all refer to something called 'Eververse'. The first trademark carries the name and covers the usual video game software, promotional materials, toys, etc..
The next one however is called 'Eververse Trading Co.'. Unless Bungie has started registering in-game lore and story-related names, we could be looking at some sort of trading/auction house feature.
Like many of Destiny's requested features, Bungie never quite gave a solid answer about allowing players to trade with each other. If this is what we think it is, it could change the player dynamics in the game in a major way.
We know that Bungie is working on the next major expansion for Destiny, which may or may not be called 'The Taken King'. E3 is around the corner and there's a very good chance we're going to hear about what that is there.
It is of course worth noting that none of these mention Destiny in their descriptions, so unless Bungie is working on a new game, it's pretty safe to assume they're Destiny-related.
Here's the logo from the third trademark.
