The Witcher 3 is a genuinely gorgeous game on all platforms, but a bit of frame rate disparity between the PC and console versions has disappointed some fans.

Why didn't CD Projekt RED just set a goal of hitting 60 FPS on consoles right from the get go, these disgruntled, imaginary fellows may ask. the answer is: it has other goals it considers more important.

"When you have a vision to create an RPG that will leave a long lasting impression, you don’t think in terms of resolution or frame rate. You think of adventure, you think of living worlds, and the stuff you’ll be able to do in that world.

"Technical aspects are kind of secondary, which of course doesn’t mean that we don’t want the graphics to be awesome,” he said.

I've seen it, and it is awesome. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hits PC, PS4 and Xbox One in May.
