Steam has over 125 million active users, 8.9M concurrent peak
The number of active users on Steam has reached a new record of 125 million.
Valve announced today that are over 125 million active Steam users worldwide. The Steam client now has 4500 games and 400 million pieces of user-generated content. Valve did not specify what it considers "active users," though the number is impressive nonetheless.
The company said that GDC 2015 mark the 13th anniversary of the first public announcement of Steam.
In related news, the number of concurrent users on Steam has reached a new high, with over 8.9 earlier this month. This marks a small increase over January concurrent users numbers of 8.4.
Steam is available on PC for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Valve announced earlier today that it will bring its VR headset and the final Steam Controller design to GDC 2015.
