Telltale's new IP is "the most ambitious thing" studio has ever done

Although we know very little about Telltale's upcoming new IP, the little we hear makes us excited.

Having recently been put in charge of Telltale, CEO Kevin Bruner sat down with GamesIndustry to talk about all sorts of new challenges. One of which is the new IP we keep hearing about.

"I'll say we've spent a lot of time experimenting over the last decade with how powerful a storytelling tool interactive can be and when we thought about building something from the ground up that gave us absolutely everything we could dream of as storytelling tools," said Bruner.

"The right kind of story, the right kind of setting, the right kind of people involved, everything."

Bruner added that the idea of finally creating a new IP rose "organically" within the studio.

"It's probably the most ambitious thing the company has ever done but we feel like we're ready for it. We're very excited to talk about it, but we can't say much more right now. But it is the perfect thing for us."

The full interview is through the link and it touches on how Telltale has a "story first" approach to game development, and what changes the new CEO will bring to one of the busiest development studios in the industry.
