Fatal Frame 5 likely to come west, says Itagaki

Team Ninja founder Tomonobu Itagaki has dropped a hint that Fatal Frame 5 will be localised for the west.

Fatal Frame 5: Oracle of the Sodden Raven is a Wii U exclusive which released in Japan in September last year.

There's been no word from Nintendo or Tecmo Koei on the possibility of it being localised for western fans, but hope has come from an unexpected source.

Itagaki, who worked at Tecmo Koei for many years and has many friends there, has hinted that he knows something.

"Hey guys, I strongly believe that Kikuchi Keisuke will release the Fatal Frame 5 in America, in many countries," he wrote in response to a fan question on his Facebook page.

"He and me have same philosophy from Tecmo days. That's what I can say for now. I want you guys to read between the lines."

We probably would have ignored this if not for that comment about reading between the lines. Keep the faith, horror fans.
