Is Quantic Dream's PS4 game related to Indigo Prophecy?
Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls developer Quantic Dream may have something to do with a new teaser website.
Quantic Dream has an interesting back catalog, and one of its most treasured releases is Fahrenheit, otherwise known as Indigo Prophecy.
I want you to take a look at its cover art, and then go have a look at this new teaser website, A Chilling Feeling, which suggests a reveal in about a week.
As spotted by NeoGAF, there's some strong similarities: the scribbled text, the matching words, the font - and the reference to temperature, of course. Indigo Prophecy's tagline was "Guilt is a Chilling Feeling".
I'd also like to point out that the domain was secured through Gandi Sas, a French registrant; Quantic Dream is based in Paris.
Unfortunately we don't have any other evidence to suggest the site is related to Quantic Dream, and there's nothing interesting in the page source except the count down script, which is locked for January 28 (depending on your time zone, you'll see different results displayed on the teaser page).
But: we have been waiting for Quantic Dream to reveal its first PS4 project, and it had teased an announcement for January. We're really hoping it's not just the inevitable Beyond: Two Souls for PS4.
A supernatural-themed murder mystery, Indigo Prophecy released in 2005 for PS2 and PC before coming to Xbox two years later. An HD remake or remaster wouldn't hurt, given the success of Heavy Rain in the meantime, but a sequel would be pretty interesting, too.
We'd be super keen to find out this is one of Quantic Dream's earlier cancelled projects - Fiv5, Infraworld, Or Omikron 2.
