Nintendo says to "avoid the rush" by pre-downloading Super Smash Bros. Wii U
With Super Smash Bros. Wii U arriving next week, Nintendo has announced digital purchases of the brawler can now be pre-downloaded.
Starting today pre-purchases made through the Nintendo eShop or through a download code at participating retailers will allow Wii U owners to pre-download the game in anticipation for its November 21 launch.
At the time of pre-purchase, much of the game’s data will be pre-loaded onto the Wii U system if it is in Standby mode.
As soon as the game releases at midnight EDT on the 21st, the final data needed to unlock the full game will automatically download.
More information on how to obtain your download codes, which will arrive via email if using Nintendo.com, are available through the link.
