Composer who outed Far Cry 4 now confirmed as on board soundtrack
Far Cry 4's soundtrack will be made available for purchase this month and yes, Cliff Martinez did work on it.
Far Cry 4's soundtrack will be released digitally this week, with a limited two CD edition going on sale in early December and a limited three LP edition following in January.
In announcing the soundtrack, Ubisoft also confirmed - at last - that Martinez did indeed contribute to Far Cry 4's score.
IGN reports the prolific composer and former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer worked with Ubisoft Montreal music designer Jerome Angelot, music supervisor Simon Landry and audio director Tony Gronick.
“Bringing Cliff on board was a no-brainer. Collaborating with him was a dream. He has the remarkable ability to portray compelling emotions and elevate the mundane into extraordinary with his musical talent," Gronick said.
What makes this so delightful is that we already knew Martinez was on board, PR news drips be damned: the musician actually outed Far Cry 4 long before Ubisoft deigned to announce it.
Far Cry 4 is coming to PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 18.
