Rumor has it Unity Technologies is up for sale
A report from CNET claims development platform Unity is up for sale and the company is courting high rollers such as Google.
According to the report, Unity Technologies has put together a presentation outlining its value. Those familiar with Unity state there's already one potential buyer interested.
VentureBeat first reported last month the firm was considering selling the business last month. Should a deal with a buyer go through, it's estimated such an acquisition would cost between $1 billion and $2 billion.
The platform has 3 million registered users, is very popular with indie and mobile developers, and was used by Blizzard to develop Hearthstone for PC and iPad.
Unity Technologies has yet to comment on the report.
