Games for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus coming from Disney, CD Projekt Red, EA, Epic
Apple announced the rumored iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus today, along with the news Rebellion, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Square Enix, EA, Disney and CD Projekt Red are creating games for the devices.
The phones will hit the market on September 19 alongside iOS 8 and pre-orders start September 12. Apple fans who pick the phones up will be treated with the new Retina Display HD which features 1334x750 resolution and full 1080p display.
During Apple's event today, SVP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller revealed the game development environment Metal 3D. The new SDK will offer more performance than OpenGL API which is what developers previously used for iOS games.
One of the games shown off at the event was an MOBA from Super Evil Megacorp called Vainglory. The game was developed by industry vets such as Playfish founder Kristian Segerstrale, who was headed up digital at EA. The studio CEO is Bo Daly, who has both Rockstar and Gazillion on his resume. Former developers from Blizzard, Insomniac and Riot are also part of Super Evil Megacorp.

The iPhone 6 contains a 4.7-inch screen and will start at $199 for a 16GB version, $299 for the 64GB version and $399 for 128GB - all with a two year contract.
iPhone 6 Plus contains a 5.5-inch display and will run you $299, $399 and $499, respectively, with the same storage options.
