WWE 2K15 oils up old rivalries for new 2K Showcase mode
2K Showcase is a new campaign mode for WWE 2K15 that lets players live out classic World Wrestling Entertainment rivalries.
Through a combination of playable matches, cinematics, and archive footage, players can experience fan-favourite rivalries first-hand.
Only two rivalries will ship with the game: Triple H and Shawn Michaels between 2002-2004, and, a little more recently, the long-running beef between John Cena and CM Punk that stretched between 2011-2013. More rivalries will be made available as DLC.
"These two rivalries are firmly etched in WWE history, and 2K Showcase enables fans to take part in those memorable experiences," said Chris Snyder, vice president of marketing at 2K.
As well as re-enacting classic matches, players will have the option to complete optional historical objectives that will in turn unlock new characters, titles, and other goods, all of which can be used in the game's other modes.
Triple H himself had this to say: "2K Showcase brings WWE to life in a way our fans have never seen before through a video game."
WWE 2K15 is due out on October 28 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
