Turn Michael into Chop! How to mod GTA 5 characters via USB

Some clever chaps have come up with a method of modding GTA 5's single-player characters using a USB stick and a bit of free software.

You can now change Michael, Franklin and Trevor into apparently any other model from the game. Want to play as Nigel? Now you can. You can even play as Chop the dog.

The method's explained in this guide and in the video below.

There's a bit of jiggery-pokery involved, but it's nothing too strenuous. You'll need to edit your a save file on a PC using a few free tools then take the code back to your console.
