Get The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection entirely free

"The Sims 2 has too much DLC!" Yeah well EA is giving the game and a huge chunk of said DLC away for free so maybe just take it and run.

Remember how The Sims 2 PC support was axed, and EA elected to award a free copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection to everyone who has redeemed the game through Origin?

Not everybody who plays The Sims 2 was able to add the game to Origin, having lost their original codes or whatever - and EA has decided not to leave these players high and dry with an outdated, unsupported version of the game.

In order to ensure affected gamers get a copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, the publisher has elected to give everyone a copy. Holy balls.

To score a copy simply log into Origin (or sign up), go to the code redemption page and enter "I-LOVE-THE-SIMS" (sans quotes).

More complete instructions are available directly from EA.

Thanks to everyone who tweeted, commented, emailed and shouted this at us. You're all heroes.
