Amazon sends invites to April 2 event, reports suggest it's to do with rumoured console

Amazon is sending out press invites to an event that will take place in New York on April 2. The internet is currently speculating that it's to do with the reveal of Amazon's rumoured console.
We recently reported on rumours that Amazon's console is a dongle that streams game and video content to your television.
As cited by Develop, Amazon's invites state that the event will focus on "updates for our video business." Given that the rumoured Android-based dongle reportedly streams video as well, this could also point to a gaming reveal of some kind.
It follows Amazon's acquisition of Killer Instinct developer Double Helix Games, which suggests it's moving into the original content space.
